vionnet
This very private split-level suite is situated to the rear of the barn, where one enters directly into a spacious living area through glazed French doors. It has impressive 5m high ceilings, exposed vanilla stone wall, superb beam work and natural limestone flooring.
Comfortable sofa and twin club chairs are arranged around a ‘Toulouse stone’ feature fireplace. Windows to two sides and the glazed French doors allow one to experience the lovely views out over the gardens.
At the far end, the traditional fully-equipped galley-style kitchen gives you the chance to try out a little French cuisine, and then enjoy the results with your party over a fine bottle of wine, (or two!) at the central dining table.
bedrooms
Up a few steps, the two lovely double bedrooms feature high beamed ceilings, one with extra single bed, large picture windows, natural limestone flooring, crystal chandeliers and exposed vanilla stone walls. This provides a fitting backdrop to the stylish blend of modern and French country antique furniture. Up to 3 cots can be provided as required.
bathrooms
2 bathrooms serve the two bedrooms. One on ground level with a fully tiled walk-in shower with ‘wet and dry’ space, wc, and hand wash basin, and the luxurious main bathroom up a few steps has a bath with limestone tiled surround, heated towel rail and full size airing cupboard. Each bathroom is supplied with a selection of L’Occitane toiletries on your arrival.
outside
The private south facing garden area has table, chairs and parasol for outdoor dining, and a small sunny lawn flanked by floral rockery and cypress trees. From here one can sit and watch the many migrant birds that visit the garden, and enjoy the great views over the grounds with glimpses of the valley beyond through the trees.
